Public transport and stops
The Graz Museum Schlossberg can be accessed via the Schlossberg lift. The lower terminus is located at Schlossbergplatz. After the upper terminus, the museum is about a 10-minute walk away. However, this path is very steep and not suitable for wheelchairs and wheeled walkers.

The museum can also be accessed via the Schlossberg funicular railway. The lower terminus is located at Kaiser-Franz-Josef Kai 38. The museum is within sight of the upper terminus and is wheelchair accessible.

Getting there by car
A public wheelchair accessible car park is located at Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Kai 36. The lower terminus of the Schlossberg funicular railway is also located there.

Entrance and entrance area
The museum entrance can be accessed directly from the upper terminus of the Schlossberg funicular railway on a tarmacked plain road.

Access to the entrance area is via the centre sliding door, which opens automatically. The cash desk is located after the sliding door on the left. The team is available there to answer questions.
In front of the entrance there is a round concrete pedestal on which a tactile model has been placed, allowing visitors to feel the museum premises.

The cash desk is equipped with an inductive hearing system.

After the cash desk, another sliding door leads to the inner courtyard, which is fully wheelchair accessible.

From the inner courtyard, you can access the underground casemate via a staircase or a lift.

IThere is a multimedia model of the Schlossberg in the underground casemate. The casemate is equipped with a ramp that makes the model accessible to everyone.

The exhibition spaces are fully accessible.

From the exhibition space, but also from the inner courtyard, you can reach the so-called ‘Cannon Hall’, where a ramp leads to the vantage point.

Historical views of Graz are shown on a swivelling multimedia screen in the Cannon Hall.

Wheelchair accessible restrooms including baby change units are located in another building.

There are convenient lockers at different heights.

The event space is wheelchair-accessible and can accommodate around twenty people seated.
