Since January 2023, the Graz Museum and the Graz City Archive have been working on a 5-year, holistic process of democratization and want to become a generator of democracy themselves. Our aim is to become a central place for social negotiation and a participatory culture of discourse, thereby contributing to social cohesion in the city of Graz. → Find out more

Municipal Archive Graz

As the historical archive, of the city we store the written records of the Graz city administration since the 18th century.

Urban archaeology Graz

The urban archeology preserves archaeological finds from municipal properties in the Graz city area and is the first port of call for questions about Graz archeology and the contact address for reports of finds from the city area.
